Crocked Bullard hangs up boots
Former Wigan and Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard has announced his retirement from football, aged 33, due to a long-standing knee injury.
Bullard only recently joined League One Milton Keynes late in August on a short-term deal after he departed Championship Ipswich Town.
He managed two games for MK Dons, but has now announced his retirement from the game.
The East Londoner began his career with his beloved West Ham United, but he never made the breakthrough at Upton Park and moved into non-league football with Gravesend & Northfleet before being spotted by Peterborough United.
After impressing at London Road he moved to Wigan - where he did enough to earn a move to Fulham in 2006. During his time at Fulham he was called up by England on four occasions, but he never won a cap.
He left Fulham in 2009 when Hull City paid ?5million for his services. He left Humberside in 2011 for Ipswich, initially on loan and then permanently.
His final move came in August when he left Portman Road for Stadium:MK - but he has now opted to hang up his boots after making over 300 league appearances in his career.
