Cottage to host women's CL final

The women's final takes place two days before the 2011 men's final at Wembley Stadium. The announcement was made in the presence of 2011 Champions League ambassador Gary Lineker and current England and Arsenal Ladies captain, Faye White. Craven Cottage follows Coliseum Alfonso Perez, the home of La Liga's Getafe CF, which hosted the first-ever women's Champions League final in May 2010. Fulham chief executive Alistair Mackintosh said: "We are delighted to be hosting this season's UEFA women's Champions League final at Craven Cottage in May. "Last season, the Cottage played host to some of Europe's most famous clubs during our magnificent Europa League campaign, and many prestigious international fixtures have also been played here over recent years. "It gives everybody associated with Fulham great pleasure and pride that UEFA has selected our stadium to host this important game."
