Diego Costa has rubbished suggestions he wants to leave Chelsea and return to Spain, insisting: "I love it" at Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old striker enjoyed a bright start to his first season in the Premier Legaue following a £32million move from Atletico Madrid, netting seven goals in his opening four games, including a hat-trick against Swansea.

However, Costa also found life difficult at times because of his combative style, serving a three-match suspension in January following a stamp on Liverpool's Emre Can as well as struggling with fitness problems towards the end of the season as Chelsea went on to secure the Premier League title.

The Brazil-born Spain international, though, dispelled reports he was unsettled in England and has his sights firmly set on more trophies with the Blues.

Speaking to Chelsea TV following the post-season friendly in Sydney, Costa said: "[It is] quite a simple answer. It is always a bit more difficult in the first season for adaptation, but I have no reason to leave this place. I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay.

"It is really good to come in the first season and win two things. It is really important and next year I will be ready to come back and hopefully win a couple more trophies."
