Corinthians pulled three points clear at the top of the Campeonato table with a 2-1 win over Vasco da Gama.

Juninho gave Vasco a second-minute lead, only for Ralf to level after 22 minutes and Paulinho to win it before the break.

Flamengo are second after leapfrogging Sao Paulo with a 1-0 win given to them by Dario Bottinelli`s 71st-minute winner.

Internacional beat basement boys Atletico Paranaense 1-0 thanks to Oscar's goal, while a Walter Montillo brace was the difference for Cruzeiro as they overcame Gremio 2-0.

Goals from Marcelo Nicacio, Thiago Xavier and Oswaldo eased Ceara to a 3-0 success over Atletico Mineiro, while Avai and Bahia played out a 2-2 draw.

Rafael opened the scoring for Bahia, but Junior and Paulo Miranda in the space of two minutes turned things in Avai`s favour before Gustavo Bastos' second-half equaliser.
