Brazilian media say Corinthians has reached an agreement to sign former AS Roma striker Adriano.
The Lance sports daily and other newspapers reported Thursday that Adriano will sign his contract with the four-time Brazilian champion in the coming days.
Corinthians president Andres Sanchez has denied the club has finalized a deal with the 29-year-old striker but has hinted an agreement is possible.
Adriano helped Flamengo win the 2009 Brazilian league but played sparingly with Roma in his return to European football, where he also previously played for Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Parma.

Adriano was a member of the Brazil squad in the 2006 World Cup.
Corinthians recently lost striker Ronaldo, who retired from football.
