Colombia cuts Aquivaldo Mosquera, Elkin Soto from World Cup roster


Colombia coach Jose Pekerman has cut three players from his World Cup squad.
America defender Aquivaldo Mosquera, Mainz midfielder Elkin Soto and Al Shabab midfielder Macnelly Torres have been told they will not be on the plane to Brazil. Colombian Football Federation president Luis Bedoya told reporters: "There are 26 players in Bogota. They will fly to Argentina, where they will meet up with Radamel Falcao and there four (more) will be taken out of the group."
Star player Falcao is still racing a race to be fit for the tournament after a serious knee injury. Colombia have been drawn in Group C alongside Greece, Ivory Coast and Japan.
