Cologne has signed former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Michael Rensing until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper joined Tuesday. He had been without a club since his contract with Bayern expired in June.
Cologne's previous goalkeeper, Faryd Mondragon, has terminated his contract.
Rensing was once seen as a successor to Oliver Kahn at Bayern but soon lost his place to veteran Hans-Joerg Butt.
