Cologne presents Solbakken as new coach

Cologne has presented new coach Stale Solbakken, who promised to brush up his German as soon as possible.

The Norwegian coach officially starts his new job on July 1 but was presented at a news conference Tuesday. Solbakken had agreed to take over as coach of Norway in 2012 but Cologne reportedly paid an undisclosed fee to have him released.

Solbakken joins from FC Copenhagen, which he led to five Danish league titles.
