Cole calls for Blues turnaround

Carlo Ancelotti's Blues have not won in five league games and have surrendered their position at the top of the table, slipping to fourth in the standings. They take on Arsenal at the Emirates on Monday night in a crunch game knowing a win in North London would see them leapfrog the Gunners. Cole is confident Chelsea can recover from their current blip, but hopes to do so sooner rather than later. "We need to get back on track and winning games if we are going to win the league," he said. "Every team, every season has a blip. Hopefully we've had ours now and we can forget about it and go on a good run. "We just have to think about us and play as well as we know we can. We are the double holders so we have to start playing like that, because at the moment we are not. "I said at the start of the season that I thought this season was going to be the hardest and toughest of all because teams are beating everyone. "You think you are top one week and then you lose against a so-called lower team. "I would rather run away with the league by December but football is a tough game. "Everyone seems to have improved their squad and improved as a team. For the neutral it's going to be a great Premier League season. "We know how to win a league and that gives us hope. But Arsenal know how to win a league, they've been there and done it. So have United. "Times have changed and everyone is improving. Arsenal are improving - we're improving because we won the double last season. "Man U of course have lost key players but are still up there. It's going to be tough and the underdogs Tottenham are also up there. I think it's going to be hard to tell who will win it this season." The 30-year-old left-back admits that he is disappointed by the campaign so far and is not dwelling on past successes. "We're disappointed with what's happened but we have to go forward and try and forget about it," he added. "We have a tough time coming up with tough games. Now we have to go on and take points from teams like Arsenal because if we take points off the people at the top it's only going to help us. "If you look back on the year it was a great season for us last season but this season is different. We have the same aim and same determination but it's not gone our way so far. "We were top for a long time and we've been knocked off and now we're fourth. So we have to improve as a team and as individuals and get our season back on track. It's up to us to change it around because all the guys here hate losing."
