Livorno teammates of Piermario Morosini and thousands of fans have paid tribute to the midfielder whose coffin circled Armando Picchi Stadium on Tuesday, three days after he collapsed during a match and died.

Livorno's bishop blessed the coffin after it was taken from a hearse.

Morosini's teammates, wearing jerseys with his No. 25, stood on the field while the team song was played. Several wept.

The funeral is on Thursday in Morosini's hometown, Bergamo.
