Daniel Garnero resigned as Independiente coach and Cesar Luis Menotti quit as team manager one day after the team lost 4-0 to extend the last-place Argentine club's winless streak.
The officials stepped down on Monday with Independiente winless in its first seven games in the Argentina Apertura tournament. The club lost 4-0 against Banfield on Sunday.
Immediate replacements were not announced.
