Howe signed Treacy from Preston last summer, but the 23-year-old finished the campaign on loan with Sheffield Wednesday after falling down the pecking order at Turf Moor. But the former Blackburn youngster is back in the Clarets first-team squad and has impressed in friendly outings at Altrincham and Bury over the past week. "We want to get the best out of Keith because we all know what a talent he is and it's just about trying to realise that talent," said Howe. "The slate is always wiped clean as far as we're concerned. We would love to get the best out of Keith and we would love him to stay and be a real success here. That's why we signed him because we know what a player he can be. "From my point of view he's trained well. We've had no problems or issues with him and he's got his head down and worked hard just like all the other players have and I think that's reflected in his two performances."
