In a story Nov. 2, The Associated Press described Amos Adamu, a former FIFA official who has received a three-year ban from the body over corruption allegations, as a former Nigerian government sports minister. Adamu formerly served as the director-general of Nigeria's National Sports Commission, a position which was the country's top sports official, for a number of years.
