The Premier League strugglers have moved to bolster their ranks for the second time on transfer deadline day, having earlier on Monday secured David Nugent's services in a similar arrangement. Cork spent the first half of the season on loan at Coventry City, where he impressed in making 21 appearances. Clarets boss Brian Laws has been keen to add to his midfield options and has swooped for Cork with just hours to spare. Cork, son of former Wimbledon favourite Alan, has previously accrued experience in the Football League but this is his first top-flight loan move. The England Under-21 international signed a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge in August and has also had loan spells with Southampton, Watford, Scunthorpe and Bournemouth.
