UANL Tigres drew 1-1 with Morelia on Saturday to remain undefeated after nine rounds of Mexico's Clausura championship, while Guadalajara Chivas tied UNAM Pumas 1-1 in Sunday's big match.

Atlas defeated Tijuana 1-0 on Saturday to stay second, while America is third after winning 3-0 against Cruz Azul, also Saturday.

In other results this weekend, Santos Laguna won 3-1 against Jaguares, Queretaro beat Monterrey 1-0, Pachuca overcame San Luis 2-1, Puebla defeated Leon 1-0 and Atlante lost 1-0 to Toluca.

Morelia's Carlos Ochoa netted a second-half stoppage-time equalizer for Morelia, after Argentine Lucas Lobos had put Tigres into the lead in the 27th minute.

Martin Bravo launched a delicate chip over stranded goalkeeper Luis Michel to give Pumas the lead in the 26th.

Another defensive mistake let in Miguel Sabah for Chivas' equalizer five minutes before halftime.

Atlas maintained their perfect home record thanks to Omar Bravo's 3rd minute goal, which capitalized on a defensive error from Tijuana.

Tijuana's Joshua Abrego was sent off for a late tackle in the 84th, with Fidel Martinez receiving his second yellow for simulation three minutes later.

America's Christian Benitez scored a hat-trick in the win over Cruz Azul in the Mexico City derby.

Benitez got his first in the 23rd, his second three minutes before halftime and completed the scoring in the 69th, after Paul Aguilar had seen red for America on the hour mark.

Santos Laguna's U.S. international Herculez Gomez opened the scoring in the 14th and slipped past the last defender for his second in the 21st.

Oribe Peralta netted Santos Laguna's second in the 18th, one minute after Luis Gabriel had equalized for Jaguares.

Relegation-threatened Queretaro kept in the fight to stay in the first division, with Colombian Wilberto Cosme getting the only goal in the 4th.

Pachuca's Angel Reyna drove in a long range shot for the winner. Christian Suarez had put Pachuca ahead in the 42nd, before Marco Perez deflected a cross to equalize for San Luis in the 57th.

Diego de Buen was the hero for Puebla, which overcame Leon thanks to his 53rd minute goal.

Toluca's victory over Atlante came courtesy of Panama international Luis Tejada, who headed in Marvin Cabrera's cross at the near post in the 34th minute.
