U.S. national team forward Brian Ching is back in uniform for the Houston Dynamo for the first time since straining his left hamstring on April 1.
Ching was on the substitutes' bench for Saturday night's Major League Soccer match at Chivas USA. He has not played since getting hurt in Houston's home opener.
A member of the 2006 U.S. World Cup team, the 31-year-old hopes to be invited Tuesday to U.S. training camp ahead of the World Cup. Practice at Princeton, N.J., opens May 17.
