Check out Graziano Pelle's dazzling solo goal against Chongqing Lifan
The Chinese Super League might be trying to bolster their standing on the global stage with the recent big-money signings across the league, but it's still not very often that we check in across the Pacific. Perhaps we should be paying more attention, though, as we've got a top-shelf goal from the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
Graziano Pelle (one of the aforementioned big-money signings) pulled off this skillful bit of brilliance for Shandong Luneng against Chongqing Lifan on Wednesday.
It doesn't get much better than that. Pelle's movement is perfect, and he signals for the pass once he finds the space inside the box. The rest is a beautiful blend of strength and technique. He fights off Liu Yu while juggling the ball, then turns and fires an absolute rocket, channeling his in Dele Alli.
This is Pelle's first season in the Chinese Super League after joining Shandong Luneng from Southampton this summer. He cost an estimated £12 million fee and is earning £13.5 million per season. The 31-year-old Italian will likely never live up to those lofty price tags, but with goals like that he's at least worth the price of admission.
