Chamakh says he will finish season with Bordeaux

Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has said he is committed to
ending the season with the French champion and will not seek a move
in the January transfer window.
"I'm going to finish my season at Bordeaux," the Moroccan
forward told Tuesday's edition of France Football. "Honestly, in my
head I don't want to relive what I lived through last summer."
Chamakh has said he wants to join an English Premier League
club, and Arsenal is expected to make a renewed effort to sign him
when the transfer window opens.
However, he hit out at speculation linking him with the
London club as a replacement for the injured Robin Van Persie.
"I don't want to see my name circulating during the transfer
window," he said. "I've had enough of reading or hearing rumors
that they are lacking a centre-forward somewhere."
The 25-year-old's contract with the French champion expires
at the end of the season, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
So far this season Chamakh has scored eight goals in 25
matches.
