Roberto Antonio Nanni scored with a header in the first minute to give Paraguay club Cerro Porteno a 1-0 victory over Tigre of Argentina the first leg of their Copa Sudamericana quarterfinal Thursday.
In other first-leg quarterfinals earlier in this week, Gremio of Brazil defeated Millonarios of Colombia 1-0, and Sao Paulo won 2-0 against Universidad de Chile.
The Copa Sudamericana is the No. 2 club tournament in South America, ranked behind the more prestigious Copa Libertadores.
