Celtic manager Neil Lennon is hoping to have Charlie Mulgrew (rib) and Adam Matthews (ankle) back for the SPL clash with Motherwell at Parkhead on Wednesday.

Midfielder Kris Commons (thigh), winger James Forrest (hamstring) and striker Anthony Stokes (ankle) remain out.

Lennon is hoping the forthcoming winter break - where the Hoops will spend part of the time in Spain - will allow them to recover.

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall is "very confident" that Shaun Hutchinson will be fit for the game.

The centre-back went off with a tight hamstring during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock but McCall believes the precautionary measure helped prevent more serious damage.

Jamie Murphy is set to play his last game for the club after holding talks over a potential move to Sheffield United.
