Cech insists comeback on track
The Chelsea goalkeeper picked up the knock last week and was forced to sit out the Blues' 2-1 Premier League victory over West Brom last Saturday as a result. It was initially suggested that he would be sidelined for up to four weeks, with it important for the Czech Republic international not to rush back into action. He claims he is still expecting to be back inside a month, but admits he will not be taking any unnecessary risks. "The rehabilitation is going according to plan," Cech told his personal website. "I don't want to jinx anything but it seems that I should be ready to return to action inside the original timescale. "I have been getting various forms of treatment and have been working on my fitness. "I have been in the gym and catching a few balls, even though I can only do it sitting down. The main reason for doing that work is so I don't miss out on the practice."
