Caulker keen on Swansea stay

Caulker is ahead of schedule in his comeback from injury. He was expected to be ruled out until late November after he injured his knee making a goal-line clearance for the Swans in last month's 1-0 defeat at Arsenal. He has defied the odds in his rehabilitation, however, and has revealed he could be back in two weeks' time. Boss Brendan Rodgers is suffering from a shortage of defenders because of Alan Tate's broken leg and Caulker's return would be a big boost for the Premier League newcomers. The player himself has spent this week back at his parent club improving his fitness and is desperate to get back on the pitch to continue the impressive start he has made since signing on loan for the Welsh club this summer. "I am doing well at the moment," Caulker told Swansea's website. "I am running this week at Tottenham and I'll be coming back to Swansea next week. If everything goes well, I will get two weeks of training under my belt with Swansea and then I will be up for selection. Fingers crossed that everything goes well because my comeback can't come quickly enough."
