The Court of Arbitration for Sport says it has rejected Zenit St. Petersburg's appeal against a technical defeat, hurting the team's chances of winning the Russian league title.

Dynamo Moscow goalkeeper Anton Shunin was injured by fireworks thrown from the Zenit supporters section during a match in November.

Three points were awarded to Dynamo after a 3-0 loss was imposed on Zenit, which is five points behind CSKA Moscow in the Russian title race with two games remaining.

The CAS panel also rejected Zenit's bid to see Dynamo sanctioned.
