Caparros is on the way out of Levante after contract talks end

Levante look to have severed ties with coach Joaquin Caparros after ending talks over a proposed new contract.
Caparros joined Levante last summer and led the Valencia-based club to a creditable 10th-placed finish in the Primera Division, with highlights being victories over league champions Atletico Madrid and Europa League winners Sevilla.
Levante had been in discussions with the much-traveled 58-year-old about extending his stay at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia, but the club announced on Tuesday those talks had broken down.
A club statement read: "Levante have this morning decided to break negotiations over extending Joaquin Caparros' contract as coach of our first team.
"We regret that our desire and all the effort we've made to reach an agreement for a contract extension has not come to anything as the sporting directors felt that it was the only option.
"Levante want to thank Joaquin Caparros and his coaching team for their professionalism, work and dedication during the 2013/14 season."
Caparros joined Levante on a one-year-deal last summer as the replacement for Juan Ignacio Martinez.
Previously, Caparros coached the likes of Real Mallorca, Athletico Bilbao, Deportivo La Coruna, Sevilla and Villarreal.
