Sheffield Wednesday full-back Lewis Buxton has been voted the club's player of the year.
The 29-year-old topped a poll on the club's official website with 35 per cent of the votes, narrowly beating goalkeeper Chris Kirkland to the title.
Buxton said: "I'm really happy and would like to thank everybody who took the time to vote, I really appreciate that.
"It's a shame the season hasn't gone as well as we had wanted but hopefully we can finish the season on a high with a win on Saturday and stay in the Championship.

"When it's the fans that have voted for you, it always means a lot. It's been a difficult season but the supporters have always come in their numbers and really spurred us on. We have needed them."
