Bus crash hospitalizes Sudanese team

A dozen men, all members of a Sudanese soccer team, were hospitalized Wednesday after their minibus crashed north of Sydney.

The bus crashed and rolled over about 4:20am local time as the group traveled from Brisbane to Sydney to play, police said.

A 30-year-old man was airlifted to Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital with serious head injuries, while 11 of his teammates were taken to hospitals in Wyong, Gosford and Newcastle for treatment.

A spokesman for the Ambulance Service of New South Wales told the Boorowa News the youngest person injured in the crash was aged 15.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
