Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso has been hit with a two-match ban following his red card against Cagliari.
Burdisso was sent off in the first half of Saturday's 5-1 defeat for a bad tackle on Cagliari's Daniele Conti.
The Argentina international will miss Sunday's game against Bologna and the trip to Brescia but will return to action when Roma host champions Inter Milan later this month.
Roma remain winless two games into the Serie A season as their defeat followed their goalless draw against Cesena.
