Bundesliga Roundup, Mar. 28

Defender Roel Brouwers' goal gave Borussia Moenchengladbach a 1-0
victory over Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga on Sunday, while
Hoffenheim drew 1-1 with Freiburg.
Brouwers slammed home a loose ball after a free kick in the
43rd minute to end Moenchengladbach's five-game winless run.
Hamburg is now four games without a win and four points away
from a place in next season's Europa League.
Striker Paolo Guerrero made his comeback for Hamburg when he
came on for Ruud van Nistelrooy in the 63rd minute. Guerrero scored
four goals in four games before injuring his knee in August.
In the earlier game, defender Josip Simunic scored a late
equalizer to secure Hoffenheim's point.
Simunic collected a good pass from Carlos Eduardo to finish a
counterattack in the 80th minute as Hoffenheim avoided a defeat but
remained winless in the last four home games.
Mohamadou Idrissou had scored in the 64th for Freiburg, which
moved up one place to 16th in the standings. At the end of the
season, that slot will mean a relegation playoff.
On Saturday, Schalke beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 after two
goals from Kevin Kuranyi to move past Bayern Munich to the top of
the standings.
Bayern dropped its second straight match when it lost 2-1 at
home to Stuttgart.
Schalke now has a two-point lead over Bayern with six matches
remaining, and can move closer to clinch its first championship in
52 years if it beats Bayern next week at home.
Schalke has 58 points, Bayern 56 and Leverkusen 53.
