ATLANTA (AP) The United States made a couple of lineup changes on the back line for the Gold Cup semifinal against Jamaica, as John Brooks returns from a yellow-card suspension and Brad Evans gets the start at right back.

Brooks takes over for Omar Gonzalez in central defense alongside Ventura Alvarado for Wednesday's game, while Evans replaces Timmy Chandler in his second start of the tournament. Evans' goal in second-half injury gave the U.S. a 2-1 win at Jamaica in a World Cup qualifier two years ago.

After a 6-0 blowout of Cuba in the quarterfinals, the U.S. is switching its formation from a 4-4-2 to a 4-2-3-1.

Aron Johannsson gets the nod up top. Captain Michael Bradley is dropping into a deeper midfield role alongside Kyle Beckerman.
