Brazil defender Thiago Silva is improving from his right thigh injury and may be available to play against Paraguay in the quarterfinals of the Copa America on Sunday.

Thiago Silva missed practice again on Saturday but Brazil doctor Rodrigo Lasmar says the AC Milan defender may recover in time for the decisive match in La Plata.

Lasmar says Thiago Silva ''improved significantly and there is a good chance he will get to play.''

The final decision will be made just before game time, however.

The 26-year-old Thiago Silva also hadn't practiced on Friday because of the injury that doctors say stems from natural fatigue following the group matches.

Luisao or David Luiz would replace Thiago Silva if he can't play.
