One match was enough to get Brazilians excited again about their national team.

Brazil defeated the United States 2-0 in the debut of coach Mano Menezes in an exhibition Tuesday night before a near-sellout crowd of 77,223 at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey.

Fans and local media praised the return of the beautiful game. The O Dia daily newspaper said on Wednesday: ''Welcome back Brazil.''

The Brazilian squad had only four players who were at the World Cup - Robinho, Thiago Silva, Ramires and Daniel Alves.
