Brazilian playmaker Kaka remains undecided about future at AC Milan
AC Milan playmaker Kaka has yet to decide if he will remain at the Serie A club next season.
The 32-year-old, who has made over 300 appearances for Milan during two different spells, is under contract with the Rossoneri outfit until June 2015.
However, due to a clause included in his contract, the Brazil international has an option to terminate his agreement this summer after Milan's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
"My wish is to remain but there are family issues that weigh heavy on my decision and I have to consider them," Kaka said to Italian TV station Mediaset.
"Fans should not worry because I will not play with their feelings.
"I will be the one to decide my future."
Kaka has been strongly linked with a move to Major League Soccer in recent months having only returned to the San Siro on a free transfer last summer after four years at Real Madrid.
The Brazilian, who won a Serie A title and the Champions League in his first spell at Milan, has scored seven goals in 27 league appearances for the Rossoneri this season.
"I am happy with my campaign," Kaka said. "Of course I have to improve and do better."
Kaka may be satisfied with his first season back in Italy but Milan as a club will not be happy with how things have gone in general.
The seven-time European champions have endured a dismal campaign and lie 10th in the standings, a massive 42 points adrift of league leaders Juventus with three games remaining.
However, Kaka has high hopes that Milan can return to be a major force in Italy and in Europe in the near future, with or without him.
"The aim for Milan next season is to challenge for the league title and to return to play in the Champions League for the 2015-16 campaign," said Kaka, who also believes Clarence Seedorf is the right man to guide Milan next season.
The former Holland international, who had no prior coaching experience, took over the reins of the team when Massimiliano Allegri was sacked in January.
"Seedorf has to get used to being a coach and gain experience," Kaka said. "He is an intelligent person and he is a fast learner.
"I am happy to work with him and I'm sure that given time, he can do very well."
Milan host city rivals Inter Milan on Sunday.
