Bramble backs Cats strikeforce

The Black Cats laid siege to Blackpool's goal on Tuesday, but despite creating a feast of chances they were unable to convert any. The Seasiders claimed a smash-and-grab 2-0 success to inflict Sunderland's first home league defeat of the campaign, much to Steve Bruce's frustration. Bramble does not feel the likes of Darren Bent, Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck should let their heads drop as it simply was not their day. The experienced defender insists the club's forwards are 'world class' and is backing them to come good in the next outing against Blackburn. "They've been fantastic all season and, on another day, they'd each have scored two or three goals," he told the Evening Chronicle. "It's nothing to do with confidence. I'm sure against Blackburn they'll come out firing again. They're great, world-class strikers. "If we keep creating chances, I'm fully confident that they'll start putting them away."
