Uruguay striker Sebastian ''El Loco'' Abreu has been suspended four matches and Argentine forward German Herrera banned for five games for their roles in a brawl after Botafogo's Brazilian Cup match against Avai last month.

Both players were involved in a fight with Avai players after Botafogo was eliminated on a disputed late penalty. They were seen charging toward opponents and throwing punches.

Botafogo coach Caio Junior was suspended one match, while three Avai players also were punished by Brazil's sports tribunal.

The clubs said they will appeal.
