Sejad Salihovic and Haris Medunjanin scored within two minutes midway through the first half to lead Bosnia-Herzegovina to a 2-0 victory over Belarus in their Euro 2012 qualifier on Friday.

Salihovic converted a penalty in the 22nd minute after a foul by Maksim Zhavnerchik, while Medunjanin hit the left corner of the net following a corner two minutes later.

The result put Bosnia-Herzegovina in second place behind France with 13 points after seven games in Group D. Belarus dropped to third, one point behind.

Belarus had its first chance in the 15th minute but Anton Putilo failed to beat Kenan Hasagic in a one-on-one with the keeper. Bosnia-Herzegovina's Edin Dzeko then hit the post following a rapid counter attack.
