Bolton says Spanish teenager Marcos Alonso has joined the Premier League club from Real Madrid on a three-year deal.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle described the left-sided defender on Tuesday as an ''exciting young player.''
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Having progressed through the ranks at Real Madrid, the 19-year-old Alonso made his full debut in April in a 2-0 win over Racing Santander.
