Bojinov returns for Bulgaria's WCup qualifiers

Valeri Bojinov will return to Bulgaria's squad for World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and the Czech Republic.

Bulgaria coach Lyuboslav Penev chose Bojinov, who recently joined Italian club Verona, to beef up an attack weakened by the absence of Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov and Bolton winger Martin Petrov.

The team is also without Aston Villa midfielder Stiliyan Petrov, who is still fighting acute leukemia, for the matches against Denmark on Oct. 12 in Sofia and the Czech Republic four days later in Prague.

Following a good start in the qualifying campaign, drawing 2-2 at home with Italy and defeating Armenia 1-0, Bulgaria is second in Group B with four points, even with the Italians.
