AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has undergone an operation to fix a broken bone in his right hand and will be out for two weeks.

Another Milan midfielder, Riccardo Montolivo, is also out for two to three weeks after tearing a muscle in his right thigh.

Both players were injured in Saturday's 3-1 win over Bologna.

After a break for international fixtures, Serie A resumes with Milan facing Atalanta on Sept. 15 or 16.
