With injury doubts over Sulley Muntari persisting, Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac is looking for alternatives in midfield, and came away impressed by Boateng's first international appearance in the warm-up game against Latvia on Saturday. "It was his first game and he played in an unfamiliar role for him, but he handled it quite well. It is the role I want to give him but for a first game with Ghana he did well," the Black Stars coach said. The 23-year-old Portsmouth star started the match alongside Anthony Annan in the centre of the park before eventually being substituted in the 66th minute. And that could be how Ghana line up against Serbia, with Muntari still highly doubtful and Michael Essien already lost to injury. Muntari aggravated a thigh strain in the friendly against Holland on Tuesday and did not feature yesterday. Ghana will also face Australia and Germany after opening against Serbia in Group D.
