Rovers have been chasing the Scottish striker all summer but looked to have given up earlier this month after baulking at Town's asking price.

But it was revealed on Wednesday that Rovers had rekindled their interest and now a deal is edging towards being done.

It is already believed that the player has agreed terms with the Ewood Park outfit, who are now finalising the fee with Huddersfield.

The Terriers stated at the weekend they would only sell for around ?8million but it is understood Blackburn are set to pay around ?5million to land the 22-year-old.
