Blackburn, Birmingham draw 1-1 in Premier League

Blackburn and Birmingham edged away from the Premier League relegation zone after sharing the points in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Both teams are now three points clear of the drop, having benefited from defeats for the bottom three of West Ham, Wolves and Wigan.
Lee Bowyer put Birmingham ahead in the 32nd minute, heading in Cameron Jerome's cross from close range despite appearing to be in an offside position.
David Hoilett slotted in the equalizer just before the halftime whistle after robbing the ball from Liam Ridgewell and rounding Birmingham 'keeper Ben Foster.
Sebastian Larsson hit the post with a freekick for Birmingham, while Roque Santa Cruz headed against the bar at the other end.
The result gave Blackburn a third draw in a row. Steve Kean's team hasn't won since January.
''I wanted to take a big leap today but we're taking little steps and we just have to keep chipping away,'' Kean said. ''If all the teams around you pick up wins and you only get a point you're massively disappointed.
''But today we're probably a little bit better off than when we started.''
Birmingham manager Alex McLeish conceded that Ridgewell's mistake had cost his side.
''We can't afford to give those sorts of gifts away but we came back in the second half,'' he said. ''It was a bad moment for the player but the next challenge for him was to see if he could recover from it and that's what he did.''
