Midfielder James McClean became the Black Cats' latest recruit on Tuesday in a £350,000 deal from Derry City - but Bruce is open to further strengthening. Bruce said: "The squad size is good at the moment - I'm very pleased with what we've done. "But as James McClean has shown, a manager's work is never done. If there's someone out there who we feel would be a good addition to the squad, we are in a position to act." McClean joins Ahmed Elmohamady, David Vaughan, John O'Shea, Wes Brown, Keiren Westwood, Sebastian Larsson, Craig Gardner, Connor Wickham and Dong-Won Ji in signing up at the Stadium of Light this summer.
