Black Cats aim to beat the freeze

Bruce last week admitted his frustration at the way training had been disrupted recently thanks to the bad weather which also claimed Saturday's game against Bolton at the Stadium of Light. A thaw was under way in the north-east on Monday but the Black Cats have moved to ensure they get a good week's training under their belts by heading for a warm-weather camp in the Algarve. Sunderland will then fly straight to London for Saturday's game as they look for a first league win in eight attempts.
