The top court in international sports has heard an appeal by former FIFA presidential candidate Mohamed bin Hammam to stop the Asian Football Confederation from replacing him as president.
The Qatari official didn't attend the Court of Arbitration for Sport hearing. His lawyer, Eugene Gulland, declined comment to reporters.
Bin Hammam made his appeal while he tries to overturn a lifetime soccer ban imposed by FIFA for allegedly bribing Caribbean voters.
Chinese official Zhang Jilong has been running the Asian body and took bin Hammam's seat on FIFA's executive committee.

CAS arbitrator Denis Oswald says both sides will make further written submissions for a few more weeks. No date is set for bin Hammam's appeal against FIFA.
