Biancucchi goal sees Olimpia sink Lanus

Three-time champion Olimpia picked up its first win in this year's Copa Libertadores by defeating Lanus 2-1 on Thursday with goals by Colombian Vladimir Marin and Argentine Maxi Biancucchi.

The victory at the Nicolas Leoz Stadium leaves the Paraguayan club atop Group 2 with three points, along with Emelec, who beat Olimpia 1-0 in the teams' opener. Lanus of Argentina has one point, tied with Brazil's Flamengo. Emelec and Flamengo have played only one match.

Also Thursday, The Strongest of Bolivia won for the second time in Group 1 by beating Juan Aurich of Peru 2-1 at home, while Universidad Catolica of Chile relinquished a two-goal lead in a 2-2 home draw with Junior of Colombia.
