Berlin and Munich have submitted bids to stage matches at the 2020 European Championship.

The German Football Federation says it will decide on Aug. 30 which of the two cities will get the nod. Germany plans to bid for two packages, either three group matches and a quarterfinal or the two semifinals and the final. The tournament will be contested in 13 stadiums in 13 countries.

Munich boasts Bayern Munich's 69,000-seat Allianz Arena, and Berlin has the 74,000-seat Olympic Stadium, the site of the 2006 World Cup final when Italy beat France.
