Karim Benzema scored twice and Cristiano Ronaldo added a third with a superb free kick to give Real Madrid a 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin in a friendly.

Patrick Ebert delighted a capacity home crowd of 74,244 at the Olympic Stadium by putting Hertha ahead in the 18th minute.

But Ronaldo then drilled his free kick from the edge of the area under the crossbar and Benzema secured the win for Jose Mourinho's side on Wednesday.

Hertha returns to the Bundesliga this season after spending one year in the second division.
