Nicolas Gaitan equalized eight minutes from the end to salvage a 2-2 draw for Benfica at rival Porto in the Portuguese league Friday.

The result kept the clubs joint top of the standings on 14 points after six rounds.

Brazilian striker Kleber gave Porto the lead with a 37th-minute header before Paraguay's Oscar Cardozo leveled two minutes after the break for his fifth goal of the season.

Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi made it 2-1 for Porto before his countryman secured a draw for the visitors with a shot that went in off the underside of the crossbar.
