Belgium hopes Kompany back in training Saturday

MOGI DAS CRUZES, Brazil (AP) Belgium coach Marc Wilmots expects injured captain Vincent Kompany to be back in training on Saturday, one day ahead of its Group H clash against Russia.
Kompany was undergoing treatment for a strain in his left groin, a problem which has kept him out of full training with the group since Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Algeria.
Wilmots said that he ''will take no risk whatsoever with Vincent,'' who is counted on for his leadership and his outstanding qualities as central defender.
Belgium leads the group with three points ahead of South Korea and Russia with one and Algeria with none. Victory over Russia will automatically advance Belgium into the knockout stage.
Wilmots said that ''we are in a good position. This is no time to do crazy things.''
