David Beckham scored his first goal of the season Sunday with a free kick in the 39th minute for the Los Angeles Galaxy against Chivas USA.
Beckham last scored for the Galaxy on Sept. 9, 2009, against Toronto.
The former England captain was making his second start and fourth appearance of the season for the Galaxy after missing six months with a torn left Achilles' tendon. Beckham sustained the injury in March while playing on loan for AC Milan.
